The hotel was not very well maintained. For instance the water at the make up sink was just about running very slow. Had to use the kitchen sink to shave. The heat thermostat tid not allow heat to be adjusted in the room. Spent a cold uncomfortable night. The best way to describe the stay, the hotel is needing an upgrading. Cancelled after one night. Asked for a call from the manager did not get the call to date.
Staff was pleasant and helpful.
This was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our time in the western USA. Definitely want to stay there on our next trip to the area and would recommend to friends.
Having half the food for breakfast in one place (just off the lobby) and half the food elsewhere (next to the breakfast room) was a little strange.
The hotel was fine, a little dated and in need of some basic updates including new comforters for the beds, but it was pretty clean and served our purposes which was that it is an hour from yosemite valley and open on thanksgiving.
Nothing to love, nothing to dislike. I wouldn't call it a destination hotel or anything, but yosemite and the mountains are destination enough.
The hotel is not too far from the Yosemite National Park and has adequate free parking in the premises. Considering that it is in a small town, it has decent dining options around the hotel till 10:30 PM. Though the name suites is misleading since the facilities do not add up to a luxury facility, the hotel provides a mini heated pool, a small steam room and a sauna along with one tread mill and a stepper. Free fixed line internet access in the main reception seating area was a boon since wifi range was low; albeit nothing to do with the hotel, but because of the place, the snow and the weather. The Young day staff at the reception were very helpful and polite.
Since I was on a month long trip, I had pretty heavy luggage (3 Check in Bags) and tugging it along to my first floor room was a pain and the hotel offered no help during check in and check out, except an old creaky luggage trolley. Facilities are old and so also the TVs, the heaters / ACs. I had to request for a change of the iron since the one kept in the room was not working. The management can do something further for the better upkeep of the hotel.
The hotel was nice and room was rather big and clean. TV had lots of channels and other amenities were also fine. Good value for the price.
The breakfast was just horrible. I still can not get used to the food in American hotels. Plastic plates and forks and terrible coffee.
I thought the breakfast could have been a little more extensive than just fruit and waffles. I think if granola, yogurt and maybe some hot items were added, this would make it a much better value. Also, I think it would be very beneficial to have a shuttle to the casino for a fee. It was most difficult trying to figure out how to get to and from the casino as I was there for a wedding being held at Chukchansi.
Our room was really big. The breakfast was really great as well.
The plug would't fit in the bath so I couldn't have a bath, which I really wanted after a day's hiking. I had a shower instead and the water pressure was terrible.
Suite was very roomy. Enjoyed the hot tub, steam room and sauna. Room was very quiet. In the past have stayed at this location when it was Shilo Inn. Poolswide rooms are perfect when the kids are along.
Windows between lobby and hallway with steam room and sauna. Full lobby of people got to see my fat belly as I came and went from the steam room. Probably uncomfortable for them. A runway rug in the hallway would also help when walking between pool area and sauna.
The staff was so helpful and pleasant. I left knowing when I come back I'd stay here and look forward to a family vacation at Yosemite staying at this hotel. The value is terrific...room was comfortable, big and relaxing.
The only thing I didn't like was that fruit was only apples. Silly, huh? But that's it!
Exellent price for 4 people on a budget to stay the night. Lovely spa and pool area. Close to Yosemite! :)
It was sufficient for what we needed
Nice, clean and comfortable room for a low price.
It is a little bit old fashioned, but it didn´t disturb us. The rooms were spacious with a small kitchen table top, separate sink from the bathroom. Also we had actual keys, instead of keycards. Our airconditioning was really noisy. We liked the free 24hr coffee in the lobby.
Breakfast was in an old hotelroom. It was good, but we missed the cheese and turkey or ham.
It had a beautiful view of the mountains, and was only 20 mins. away from Yosemite. We had the mini suite and with a 1 year old it was very nice to have all that extra room! The room was very big with a sofa and a king size bed, it was wonderful.
Easy access to the national park, Also a well managed ,good size premises and not a massive hotel chain where the guest just becomes a number. Very competitively priced, we were well pleased Also easy parking, well furnished and welcoming
Not enough computer points although We were not always around when I was told access was available
great deal on room. Price was good for location.
A staff member at the front desk was not very helpful, however the staff member (different member) at the front desk when we checked out was very nice.
